Ingredients
Coconut, kernal, dry
1 cup (200g)
Jaggery, cane
0.5 cup (100g)
Plain Water
1 small cup (200g)
cardamom powder
1 tsp (2g)
Instructions
Cooking Steps
Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and add grated coconut. Roast the coconut for 4-5 minutes until it turns light golden brown.
In another pan, add grated jaggery and water. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring continuously, until the jaggery dissolves completely.
Once the jaggery syrup thickens and starts to form bubbles, add the roasted coconut and cardamom powder. Mix well and continue to cook over medium heat.
Cook the mixture for 30-40 minutes, stirring continuously until it thickens and starts to leave the sides of the pan.
Remove the pan from heat and transfer the mixture to a greased plate or tray.
Use a spatula to spread the mixture evenly in the tray and press it down firmly.
Allow the mixture to cool down for 20-30 minutes, then cut it into desired shapes.
