Cooking Steps
Step 1: To make chickpea capsicum, soak cashew nuts in water for 12 to 15 minutes
Step 2: Heat the oil in a skillet, cook the onion till it turns brown
Step 3: Add ginger garlic paste and cook 1 minute
Step 4: Add capsicum, and roast for 2-3 minutes
Step 5: Now add cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric and red chili powder and fry
Step 6: Keep in mind that spices should not be burnt
Step 7: Add tomato puree and boiled gram with 2 cups of water
Step 8: Let it boil for 5 minutes and cook till the spices are mixed
Step 9: Grind the soaked cashews
Step 10: Add cashew paste to the curry with salt and cook for 4-5 minutes
Step 11: Add kasuri methi and close the gas
Step 12: Serve Chole Shimlamirch Masala with Phulka, Rice and Salad
