Cooking Steps
Step 1: To begin making Chocolate Doughnut Recipe, activate yeast by adding milk and sugar and resting it for 10 minutes
Step 2: Now add maida, baking powder, butter and salt
Step 3: Combine and knead it to smooth dough, adding water as required
Step 4: Grease, cover and rest for 1-2 hours
Step 5: Once the dough has raised very well, nearly doubling in its size, punch the dough to release the trapped air and roll slightly thick using a rolling pin
Step 6: Now with the help of cutter, cut to doughnut shapes and arrange on a greased parchment paper
Step 7: Allow to rest in warm place for 2 hours
Step 8: Heat a deep frying pan with enough sunflower oil
Step 9: Once the oil is hot, on medium heat, deep fry each doughnut till golden brown
Step 10: Take off from oil and drain on a paper towel
Step 11: Dip the doughnuts and serve chocolate donuts sprinkled with sugar crystals
Step 12: This step is completely optional
Step 13: You can skip adding the coloured sprinkles as well
