Cooking Steps
Step 1: To prepare Chinese Vegetarian Fried Rice With Apples Recipe, soak basmati rice for 25-30 minutes
Step 2: Then cook rice with enough water
Step 3: Once the rice is cooked, spread it on a plate and allow to cool down completely
Step 4: Heat oil in a pan
Step 5: Add the cashews, raisins and fry them till golden
Step 6: Take out from oil and set aside
Step 7: To the same pan, add shredded ginger
Step 8: Saute till aromatic and raw aroma disappears
Step 9: Add capsicum, sprinkle little salt and fry till they are half cooked on a high flame
Step 10: Then add apple, soya sauce and sugar
Step 11: Within a few minutes, the apples are partially cooked and release a sweetish aroma
Step 12: Do not over saute since the apples are best when still crunchy
Step 13: Add the cooked long grain basmati rice, fried cashews and raisins and finally, pepper powder
Step 14: Mix gently without breaking rice grains on high flame for a minute
Step 15: Reduce the flame and fry for a couple of minutes more until everything is combined well
Step 16: Finally switch off the flame
