Bread Poha (Sourdough bread)
Bread Poha is a popular Indian breakfast dish made with sourdough bread, onions, tomatoes, and a blend of aromatic spices. In this recipe, we have used whole wheat bread instead of white bread to make it more nutritious. We have also used less oil to make it healthier. This dish is suitable for vegetarians. However, people with a gluten allergy should avoid this dish.

Ingredients
Sourdough Bread
2 slices (60g)
Onion Finely Chopped
0.5 medium cup (80g)
chopped tomato
0.5 small cup (50g)
Chillies, green-2
1 tsp (5g)
Mustard seeds
0.5 tsp (2.5g)
Cumin seeds
0.5 tsp (2.5g)
Turmeric powder
1 tsp (1.5g)
Common salt

Instructions
Cooking Steps
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds to the pan and let them splutter.
Add chopped onions and green chilli to the pan and sauté for 2-3 minutes until the onions turn translucent.
Add chopped tomatoes to the pan and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the tomatoes soften.
Add turmeric powder and salt to the pan. Mix well.
Add sourdough bread pieces to the pan and mix well, ensuring the bread pieces are coated in the masala.
Cover the pan with a lid and let it cook for 2-3 minutes over medium heat until the bread pieces are crispy and golden brown.
serve hot.
