Cooking Steps
Step 1: To begin making the Bread Halwa Recipe, soak bread slices in whole milk for a minute and set aside
Step 2: Heat a skillet and melt clarified butter, add cardamon and soaked bread
Step 3: Cook until its light brown
Step 4: Add 1 cup sugar and cream cook for around 10 minutes until it become mushy
Step 5: Heat 1/2 tablespoon of ghee in a small pan
Step 6: Add cashews, raisins and roast till it becomes golden brown in colour
Step 7: Set it aside
Step 8: Add roasted dry fruits on top of the halwa and sprinkle cardamom powder
Step 9: Allow it to cool and garnish with silver leaf and some more dry fruits
Step 10: Serve hot or warm
Step 11: Serve Bread Halwa as a dessert during festivals or special occasions or make it to serve to your sudden guests
Step 12: You can serve it after your festive meal of Aloo Matar Sabzi, Ajwain Puri and Boondi Raita
