Plain Water
2.5 small cup (500g)
Instructions
Preparation
1- Rinse the barley under cold running water to remove impurities.
Cooking Steps
In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
Add the rinsed barley to the boiling water.
Reduce the heat to low and let the barley simmer for 45-60 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
The barley is ready when it is tender but still slightly chewy. If needed, add more water during cooking to prevent it from drying out.
Once cooked, drain any excess water using a colander.
Allow the barley to cool slightly before serving.
