Step 3: Keep stirring until the blueberries begin to start softening and also the mixture becomes sauce-like
Step 4: Once you notice the blueberries soften, turn the heat to low and cook, stirring occasionally until the blueberries are completely soft
Step 5: This would take about 5 minutes
Step 6: Stir in the orange zest, juice and liqueur
Step 7: Turn off the heat and allow the blueberry sauce to cool completely
Step 8: You will notice it will thicken as it cools down
Step 9: You can also refrigerate this sauce until you prepare the whipped cream
Step 10: In a large mixing bowl or the bowl of the stand mixer, pour in the chilled heavy cream and icing sugar
Step 11: Whisk until the cream becomes fluffy and thick
Step 12: When you notice the cream has thickened, stop whisking to prevent the cream from breaking apart
