Ingredients
Besan (chickpea flour)
1 small cup (100g)
Chopped Onion
0.5 small cup (50g)
Olive Oil
1 tsp (5g)
Fresh Coriander Leaves (chopped)
2 tbsp (10g)
Cumin seeds
0.5 tsp (2.5g)
Turmeric powder
0.25 tsp (1.25g)
Chopped Green Chilli
1 tsp (2g)
Common salt

Instructions
Preparation
-Break egg, remove yolk and whisk egg whites.
Cooking Steps
In a mixing bowl, combine gram flour, whisk egg whites, chopped onion, green chili, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, salt, and fresh coriander leaves.
Gradually add water to the mixture and whisk until you get a smooth batter of pouring consistency.
Heat an appe pan (a special pan with small round molds) and grease each mold with a little oil.
Pour a spoonful of the batter into each mold, filling them up to 3/4th full.
Cover the pan and let the appe cook on low to medium heat for a few minutes until the bottom is golden brown and the top is set.
Using a wooden skewer or fork, flip the appe and cook the other side until cooked through and golden brown.
Remove the cooked appe from the pan and repeat the process with the remaining batter.
Serve the Besan Egg Appe hot.
