Step 1: To begin making the Bengali Potol Bhaja recipe, wash and pat dry parwal well
Step 2: Slit into half length wise and keep aside
Step 3: In a bowl, add salt and turmeric powder, mix well
Step 4: Generously rub the turmeric salt mixture all over the parwal and keep aside
Step 5: Heat mustard oil in a pan
Step 6: Once the oil is hot add the parwal and saute parwal until browned on all side
Step 7: Transfer Bengali Potol Bhaja into a serving bowl and serve hot
