Cooking Steps
Step 1: To begin making Beetroot Rosti recipe, first parboil the potato by drop it in boiling water for about 7-8 minutes
Step 2: The cooking time may change depending on the quality of potato
Step 3: If should be firm but partially cooked
Step 4: Once done, mix the grated beetroot and potatoes in a mixing bowl
Step 5: Add egg, salt, pepper, dill, and flour
Step 6: Mix well
Step 7: Adjust the amount of flour if you think the mixture is too wet
Step 8: Heat butter or oil in a non-stick pan
Step 9: Place the beetroot mixture in the pan and pat evenly to make a large pancake
Step 10: Cook till the bottom is crisp and starts browning
Step 11: Invert a large plate over the pan
Step 12: Carefully flip rösti onto the plate
Step 13: Drizzle some more butter to the pan
Step 14: Slide rösti back in the pan cooked side up and cook till the bottom crisps up
Step 15: You can alternatively make small patty/fritter shaped mini rostis
Step 16: Divide the mixture into small patties and cook on both sides till crisp and done
