Barnyard Millet (Raw)
0.5 small cup (50g)
Carrot
0.25 small cup (25g)
Green Beans (Chopped)
0.25 small cup (25g)
Mustard oil
1 tsp (5g)
Ginger Paste
0.5 tsp (2.5g)
Common salt
0.25 tsp (1.25g)
Red chilli Powder
0.25 tsp (1.25g)
Plain Water
2 medium cup (500g)
Chopped Green Chilli
0.25 tsp (0.5g)
Cumin seeds
0.25 tsp (1.25g)
Green Peas
0.25 small cup (25g)
Instructions
Preparation
Soak the kodo millet for 1-2 hours.
Blanch all vegetable for few mins in water.
Cooking Steps
Heat oil in a pressure cooker over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
Next add chopped beans, carrot, peas, green chili, ginger paste , red chili powder and salt. Stir well.
Add the soaked kodo millet and water. Mix well.
Close the pressure cooker with the lid and pressure cook for 3-4 whistles.
Let the pressure release naturally.
Open the lid and fluff up the pulao with a fork.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
