Cooking Steps
Step 1: To begin making Baked Bhakarwadi Recipe, in a medium bowl add all the ingredients listed under "For the Dough" like the all purpose flour, gram flour, turmeric powder, kashmiri red chilli powder, ghee, salt to taste and stir well
Step 2: Add water little by little and knead until you get a firm dough
Step 3: Cover with a damp cloth and keep aside
Step 4: Heat up a pan, add poppy seeds and sesame seeds
Step 5: Roast them on low flame until nice aroma comes out
Step 6: Once done transfer the seeds to a bowl and keep aside
Step 7: In the same pan roast dry coconut until slightly golden
Step 8: Remove that and keep aside
Step 9: In a mixer add roasted poppy seeds, sesame seeds, coconut and all the other ingredients (Except sugar) listed under "For the Filling"
Step 10: Pulse couple of times so that everything is mixed well
Step 11: Now add the sugar and stir with a spoon
Step 12: Keep the Bhakarwadi filling aside
Step 13: Preheat oven to 180 C
Step 14: Keep your work space ready by greasing the place with a few drops of oil
Step 15: Divide the Bhakarwadi dough to 3 equal balls
Step 16: Work one by one
Step 17: Place one ball and roll out thin
Step 18: Brush with some lemon juice
Step 19: Spread 1/3rd of the prepared filling
Step 20: Press with your hand to keep the filling in place
Step 21: Roll in from the corners and until the end to get a cylindrical roll
Step 22: Press well on the top
Step 23: Use a knife and cut them in 1/4 inch sized pieces pinwheels
Step 24: Arrange the filled Bhakarwadi on a baking tray lined with wax paper
Step 25: Bake the Bhakarwadi for about 35 to 40 minutes or until brown and crispy
Step 26: Cool down and store in an airtight container
Step 27: Serve Baked Bhakarwadi Recipe as a tea time snack along with a hot cup of Adrak Chai
