Cooking Steps
Step 1: To start the Brinjal Bharta, first turn on the gas
Step 2: Place the brinjals on the heat and roast them all the way around
Step 3: After 10 minutes you will see that the brinjal skin has started coming out
Step 4: Bake the eggplants and keep them aside till they become soft
Step 5: After cooling, take out the skin of the brinjals and mash them with the help of a fork
Step 6: Keep it aside
Step 7: Now heat a pan
Step 8: Add cumin seeds and let it cook for 10 seconds
Step 9: After 10 seconds, add ginger, onion and cook till the onion becomes soft
Step 10: Now add tomato, turmeric powder, green chilli, coriander powder, garam masala powder and red chili powder
Step 11: Mix all and let it cook for 3 minutes to 4 minutes
Step 12: Now add eggplant, butter and salt
Step 13: Mix, slow down the heat and let it cook for 10 minutes
Step 14: Turn off the gas and garnish with green coriander
Step 15: Serve the Brinjal Bharta with Panchamel Dal, Spinach Raita and Phulka for dinner
