Cooking Steps
Step 1: To begin making the Sweet Rice Dumplings recipe, we will first prepare the stuffing
Step 2: Add coconut, jaggery powder, peanut and cook it for 5 minutes
Step 3: Add cinnamon powder, black pepper powder to it and mix it properly
Step 4: Cool the mixture well and keep it aside
Step 5: Now we will make the dumplings
Step 6: Boil 2 cups of water in a heavy bottomed pan
Step 7: Take 2 tablespoon water in a bowl, add 1 teaspoon rice powder to it and make a thick solution
Step 8: Add this solution to boiling water
Step 9: Let the water come to boiling point
Step 10: Then add salt, remaining rice flour at once and stir it continuously at medium flame for 3-4 minutes
Step 11: Switch off the flame and cover the pan with a lid
Step 12: Let it sit for 10 minutes
Step 13: Once cooled, start kneading the mixture to form a dough
Step 14: It should be soft
Step 15: Make small balls like chapati ball
Step 16: Take a ball and press with your finger tip at centre and make a hole into it to pour the filling
Step 17: Stuff the balls with prepared coconut mixture
Step 18: Close it properly with wet fingers and give shape as you like
Step 19: Cook those balls in a steamer for 15 minute
Step 20: Cool it and enjoy them as it is
Step 21: Serve Sweet Rice Dumplings as a side dish along with Vegetarian Thukpa for a light weekday meal
