Cooking Steps
Peel the half medium apple to remove the skin, which can be hard for younger babies to digest.
Core the apple to remove the seeds and any tough parts.
Cut the apple into small, uniform pieces to ensure even cooking.
Place the apple pieces in a small saucepan and add just enough water to cover the apple pieces.
Bring the water to a gentle boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat to a simmer.
Cook the apple pieces until they become very soft, which usually takes 8-10 minutes.
Once the apple pieces are soft and thoroughly cooked, remove them from the heat and allow them to cool to a safe temperature.
Once cooled, you can use a fork or a food processor to mash or puree the cooked apple pieces to a smooth consistency suitable for a 6-9 -month-old baby.
