Cooking Steps
Step 1: Dry Roast
- Heat a small pan on low flame.
- Add ajwain and roast gently for 30–40 seconds until fragrant.
- Add a tiny pinch of hing and roast for 5–10 seconds (avoid burning).
Step 2: Make Powder
- Allow the roasted spices to cool slightly.
- Grind or crush them using a mortar-pestle to create a fine powder.
Step 3: Prepare the Water
- Boil water in a pan.
- Switch off the flame.
- Add the roasted ajwain–hing powder and pinch of black salt..
- Stir and let the mixture sit for 1 minute to infuse.
Step 4: Strain & Drink
- Strain the water into a cup.
