Ingredients
Mango, green, raw
2 medium (300g)
Jaggery, cane
50 gms (50g)
Plain Water
4 medium cup (1000g)
Roasted Cumin powder
1.5 tsp (7.5g)
Black Salt
1 tsp (5g)
Common salt
0.5 tsp (2.5g)
Mint leaves
10 gms (10g)
Instructions
Preparation
Wash the raw mangoes thoroughly.
Peel the mangoes and cut them into chunks. Discard the seed.
Cooking Steps
In a saucepan, add the mango chunks and 2 cups of water. Boil the mangoes for about 10-12 minutes until they become soft.
Let the boiled mangoes cool down.
Blend the boiled mango chunks into a smooth pulp using a blender.
Add jaggery to the pulp and mix until it dissolves completely. (Adjust sweetness based on preference.)
Add black salt, roasted cumin powder, and fresh mint leaves. Stir well.
Add the remaining 2 cups of water and mix thoroughly to adjust the consistency of the drink. You can strain the mixture if desired, but traditionally, Aam Panna is served unstrained.
Chill the Aam Panna in the refrigerator or serve immediately over ice cubes.
Garnish with fresh mint leaves before serving.
