Ingredients
Wheat flour, atta
1 cup (200g)
Sattu Flour
0.5 small bowl (50g)
Chopped Onion
0.5 small cup (50g)
Chopped Green Chilli
1 tsp (2g)
Carom(Ajwain) Seeds
0.25 tsp (1.25g)
Cumin seeds
0.25 tsp (1.25g)
Red chilli Powder
0.25 tsp (1.25g)
Common salt
0.5 tsp (2.5g)
Mustard oil
1 tbsp (15g)
Plain Water
0.25 medium cup (62.5g)
Instructions
Cooking Steps
In a mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour. Mix well.
Gradually add water and knead into a smooth dough. Cover and let it rest for 10-15 minutes.
In another mixing bowl, combine sattu flour, chopped onions, green chili, ajwain, salt, red chili powder, cumin seeds, and mustard oil. Mix well.
Divide the dough into small balls and roll them into discs.
Add the sattu filling to the center of each disc.
Bring the edges of the disc together to seal the filling inside.
Roll the stuffed dough ball into a flat disc, dusting with whole wheat flour as needed.
Heat a tawa or griddle over medium heat. Place the rolled dough disc on the tawa and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side until brown spots appear.
Brush with oil and cook until crispy.
Serve hot.
