Ingredients
Basmati Rice
1 small cup (100g)
Olive Oil
0.5 tbsp (7.5g)
Firm Tofu
0.5 small block (50g)
Garlic, small clove
2 tsp (9g)
Red Onion
1 small cup (80g)
Plain Water
1 small cup (20g)
SOYA SAUCE
1 tbsp (15g)
Common salt
1 tsp (5g)
Fresh Coriander Leaves (chopped)
1 tsp (5g)
Ginger, fresh
0.5 tsp paste (2.5g)

Preparation
Rinse the basmati rice until the water runs clear. Soak it for 15 minutes.
Cooking Steps
In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add tofu cubes and sauté for 5-7 minutes until they turn golden brown. Remove the tofu from the pot and set it aside.
In the same pot, add minced garlic, diced onion, and minced ginger. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until the onion turns translucent.
Add the soaked and drained basmati rice and stir well.
Add 2 cups of water and soy sauce. Stir well and bring the mixture to a boil.
Reduce the heat to low and cover the pot with a lid. Let it cook for 20-25 minutes until the rice is cooked and the water is absorbed.
Fluff the rice with a fork and add salt to taste.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
