Instructions
Cooking Steps
Wash the broken wheat thoroughly and soak it in water for 15-20 minutes.
Heat oil in a pressure cooker over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and mustard seeds and let them splutter.
Add chopped onions and sauté for 2-3 minutes until they turn translucent.
Add grated ginger and chopped green chilies and sauté for another 1-2 minutes.
Add chopped tomatoes, carrots, capsicum, green peas, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
Drain the soaked broken wheat and add it to the pressure cooker. Mix well.
Add water and close the pressure cooker with its lid. Cook for 3-4 whistles, or until the broken wheat is cooked and soft.
Let the pressure release naturally. Open the lid and mix well.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
