Instructions
Cooking Steps
Rinse the urad dal and soak it in water for 30 minutes.
Heat oil in a pressure cooker over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and mustard seeds and let them splutter.
Add chopped onions and green chili and sauté for 2-3 minutes until the onions turn translucent.
Add chopped tomato and cook for 3-4 minutes until they soften and turn mushy.
Add turmeric powder and salt. Stir well.
Drain the soaked urad dal and add it to the pressure cooker along with chopped carrots, green beans, green peas, and oats groats. Mix well.
Add water and stir well.
Cover the pressure cooker with a lid and cook for 3-4 whistles or until the lentils and vegetables are cooked.
Once the pressure releases, open the lid and stir well.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot
