Toned Milk
500 ml (500g)
Jaggery, cane
2 tbsp (30g)
cardamom powder
1 tsp (2g)
Chopped Walnuts
1 tbsp (10g)
Rice Flour
1 tbsp (15g)
Instructions
Cooking Steps
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the rice flour and 1/2 cup of toned milk until the corn starch is completely dissolved.
In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, heat the remaining of toned milk over medium heat until it comes to a boil.
Once the milk has boiled, reduce the heat to low and slowly add the corn starch mixture while continuously stirring the milk.
Add honey or jaggery powder and cardamom powder and mix well.
Keep stirring the milk mixture for 10-15 minutes or until it thickens and coats the back of a spoon.
Remove the pudding from heat and let it cool to room temperature. Once cooled, pour the pudding into individual serving bowls and refrigerate for 2-3 hours or until set.
Garnish with chopped walnuts before serving.
