Preparation
-Wash and shred lettuce leaves.
Cooking Steps
In a bowl, combine tofu with ground cumin, paprika or chili powder, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat the chunks with the spices.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the seasoned tofu and sauté for about 2-3 minutes until they are heated through and slightly crispy. Remove from heat and set aside.
Lay the whole wheat roti.
In the center of the whole wheat roti, layer the shredded lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, bell pepper.
Place the sautéed tofu on top of the vegetables.
Drizzle with lemon juice for added flavour.
You can use green chutney as a dressing.
Fold in the sides of whole wheat roti and then roll it up tightly to form a wrap.
Slice the wrap in half diagonally, if desired, for easier handling.
