Carrot

Green Beans (Chopped)

Mustard oil

Ginger Paste
0.5 tsp (2.5g)
Rock salt (sendha namak)

Red chilli Powder

Plain Water
1 medium cup (250g)
Chopped Green Chilli

Garam Masala
0.25 tsp (0.75g)
Fresh Coriander Leaves (chopped)

Instructions
Preparation
Soak the samak rice for 1-2 hours.
Cooking Steps
Heat oil in a pressure cooker over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter, then add the vegetables.
Add chopped tomato, green chili, ginger paste , red chili powder, garam masala powder, and salt. Stir well.
Add the soaked samak rice and water. Mix well.
Close the pressure cooker with the lid and pressure cook for 3-4 whistles.
Let the pressure release naturally.
Open the lid and fluff up the rice with a fork.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
Note-If you are fasting for navratri, as per the customs followed by individuals you may choose to add only the allowed vegetables to the pulao.
