Instructions
Cooking Steps
Rinse the red rice in water and soak it for 30 minutes.
In a pot, heat oil over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn translucent.
Add chopped carrots, bell peppers, tomatoes, and green chili. Mix well.
Add salt, coriander powder, and garam masala. Mix well.
Add the soaked red rice and water. Stir well.
Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.
Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let it cook for 20-25 minutes until the rice is cooked and the water is absorbed.
Fluff the rice with a fork and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
