Instructions
Preparation
- Wash and soak moong dal overnight.
Cooking Steps
Drain the soaked moong dal and grind it into a smooth paste using a mixer or blender. Add a little water if needed to get the right consistency.
Transfer the moong dal paste to a mixing bowl.
Add chopped onion, green chili, ginger, cumin seeds, asafoetida, and salt to the bowl. Mix well.
Heat an appe maker over medium heat and brush the molds with a little oil.
Spoon the moong dal mixture into the molds, filling each one about 3/4 full.
Cook the ladoos in the appe maker for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn golden brown.
Remove the ladoos from the appe maker and serve hot.
