Ingredients
Skimmed Milk Curd
0.5 cup (100g)
Paneer Homemade (Toned milk)
100 gms (100g)
Fresh Coriander Leaves (chopped)
2 tbsp (10g)
Cumin Powder
1 tsp (2g)
Common salt
0.5 tsp (2.5g)
Red chilli Powder
0.25 tsp (1.25g)
Grated Ginger
1.5 tsp (4.5g)
Chopped Green Chilli
2 tsp (4g)
Garam Masala
0.5 tsp (1.5g)
Olive Oil
1 tsp (5g)
Besan (chickpea flour)
1 small cup (100g)
Plain Water
2 small cup (400g)
Instructions
Cooking Steps
In a mixing bowl, add the besan, low fat curd, salt, green chili, garam masala, chopped coriander leaves and grated ginger. Mix everything well.
Gradually add water, whisking continuously to make a smooth batter without any lumps.
In another mixing bowl add crumbled paneer, grated ginger, cumin powder and salt. Mix well.
Make a ball and flatten paneer stuffing on your palm. keep aside.
Pour a spoonful of batter into each cavity, filling it halfway. Add a spoonful of paneer mixture on top of the batter, and cover it with another spoonful of batter.
Cover the pan with a lid and let the appe cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottom turns golden brown.
Flip the appe using a skewer or spoon and let them cook on the other side for another 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
