Rinse the oat groats under running water and soak them in water for at least 30 minutes.
Drain the water and transfer the soaked oat groats to a saucepan. Add 1 cup of water and bring it to a boil.
Reduce the heat to low, cover the saucepan and let the oat groats cook for 20-25 minutes until they are tender and the water has been absorbed.
Add skimmed milk, diced apple, mixed berries, and cinnamon powder to the saucepan. Stir well.
