Instructions
Preparation
Soak the whole green moong dal for 4-5 hours.
In a pressure cooker, combine the moong dal and 1 cup of water.
Cook for 3-5 whistles until the dal is soft and mushy.
Boil the potato.
Cooking Steps
Mash the cooked dal using a fork or blender.
Transfer the dal paste to a mixing bowl and add boil potato, green chili, ginger paste, cumin powder, lemon juice and salt. Mix well.
Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into small patties or tikkis.
Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and add oil.
Place the tikkis in the pan and cook them for 3-4 minutes on each side until they turn golden brown and crispy.
Serve hot.
