Lentil whole, yellowish
0.25 cup (50g)
Plain Water
1 medium cup (250g)
Turmeric powder
0.25 tsp (1.25g)
Instructions
Cooking Steps
Rinse the moong dal in water and soak it for 30 minutes.
Drain the water and add the moong dal to a pressure cooker.
Add 1 cup of water, a pinch of turmeric powder.
Pressure cook the moong dal for 2-3 whistles or until it is soft and mushy.
Allow the pressure cooker to release the pressure naturally.
Once the pressure has been released, open the pressure cooker and use a hand blender or a spoon to blend the moong dal until it is smooth and runny.
Strain the moong dal Paani through a sieve to remove any lumps and impurities.
Serve the moong dal Paani warm.
