Preparation
-Wash and soak chana dal overnight.
-Pressure cook soaked chana in less water to get mushy consistency to form tikki
Cooking Steps
In a bowl, Add boiled Chickpeas and mash the chickpeas using a fork or potato masher. Leave some chunks for texture.
Add mashed potato, finely chopped onions, ginger-garlic paste, chaat masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, salt, amchur powder and chopped coriander leaves to the bowl. Mix well to combine all the ingredients
3 Divide the mixture into small portions and shape them into round tikkis.
4 Heat oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Place the tikkis in the skillet and cook until they turn golden brown on both sides, flipping as needed. This should take about 5-7 minutes per side.
Once the tikkis are cooked and crispy, remove them from the skillet and let them cool slightly.
To assemble the lettuce wraps, take a large lettuce leaf and place 2 chana tikkis in the center.
Top it with sliced cucumbers, tomatoes, and onions.
Fold the lettuce leaf over the filling to form a wrap.
