Chopped Onion

Chopped Green Chilli

Mustard seeds
0.5 tsp (2.5g)
Cumin seeds

Chana Dal (Raw)
0.5 tsp (2.5g)
Split Urad Dal (Raw)
0.5 tsp (2.5g)
Turmeric powder

Instructions
Preparation
-Rinse the kodo millet in water and soak for 1-2 hours.
Cooking Steps
In a pan, heat oil. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, urad dal, and chana dal. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until they start to splutter.
Add chopped onions, green chili, and sauté for 2-3 minutes until the onions turn translucent.
Add turmeric powder, and salt. Cook for 2-3 mins.
Add the soaked kodo millet and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
Add 2 cups of water and mix well. Cover and cook for 10-12 minutes over medium heat until the millet is cooked and the water is absorbed.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
