Soaked Black Chickpeas
1 cup (200g)
chopped tomato
1 small cup (100g)
Chillies, green-1
1 tsp (5g)
Mint Chutney
1 tbsp (15g)
Chat Masala
0.5 tsp (2.5g)
Common salt
0.5 tsp (2.5g)
Lemon, juice
1 tbsp (15g)
Fresh Coriander Leaves (chopped)
1 tbsp (5g)
Cumin Powder
1 tsp (2g)
Tamarind Chutney
0.5 tbsp (7.5g)
Instructions
Cooking Steps
Drain the soaked kala chana and rinse them with fresh water.
Transfer the kala chana to a pressure cooker and add enough water to cover them. Add 1/2 teaspoon salt and pressure cook for 3-4 whistles or until the chana is cooked and tender.
Once the pressure has released, drain the excess water and set the kala chana aside.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked kala chana, chopped tomato, and green chili (if using).
Add the chopped coriander leaves, tamarind chutney, mint chutney, chaat masala, cumin powder, salt, and lemon juice. Mix well.
Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
