Instructions
Preparation
Wash, soak black chickpeas overnight.
Pressure cook soaked black chickpeas for 5-7 whistle. Drain and keep aside.
Cooking Steps
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked black chickpeas, onion, ginger paste, garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
Add gram flour to the mixture and mix well until everything is well combined.
Divide the mixture into small equal-sized portions and shape them into round or oval-shaped tikkis.
Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and brush it with a little oil.
Place the tikkis on the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side or until they turn golden brown.
Remove the tikkis from the pan and place them on a paper towel to absorb any excess oil.
Serve hot .
