Cumin seeds

Instructions
Preparation
Rinse the jowar grains and moong dal together in a fine-mesh sieve and soak them in water for 30 minutes.
Cooking Steps
Heat oil in a pressure cooker over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and mustard seeds and let them splutter.
Add chopped onions and sauté for 2-3 minutes until they turn translucent.
Add chopped tomatoes and sauté for another 2-3 minutes until they turn mushy.
Drain the soaked jowar and moong dal and add them to the pressure cooker. Mix well.
Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Stir well.
Add water and mix well.
Close the pressure cooker with a lid and cook over high heat until you hear 2-3 whistles.
Reduce the heat to low and let the khichdi cook for another 10-12 minutes.
Turn off the heat and let the pressure release naturally.
Open the pressure cooker and give the khichdi a good stir.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
