Jowar Khichdi

Instructions
Cooking Steps
Rinse the jowar grains and moong dal together in water and soak them for 30 minutes.
In a pressure cooker, heat oil over medium heat and add cumin and mustard seeds. Let them splutter.
Add chopped onion and sauté until it turns translucent.
Add chopped tomato, carrot, green peas, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Stir well.
Add soaked jowar and moong dal to the pressure cooker and mix with vegetables.
Add 2 cups of water and mix well.
Cover the pressure cooker with a lid and cook for 5-6 whistles over medium heat.
Once the pressure cooker cools down, remove the lid and mix the khichdi well.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
