Preparation
For Chickpeas:
Soak Chickpeas overnight. Rinse the soaked chickpeas and place them in a pressure cooker. Add enough water to cover.
Cook the chickpeas until they are tender in a pressure cooker.
Drain the chickpeas and let them cool to room temperature.
For Hung Curd:
Take a muslin cloth or a cheesecloth and place it over a strainer.
Pour the low-fat curd onto the cloth and let it strain for about 2-3 hours.
Once the whey has drained off and only the thick curd remains,
Cooking Steps
In a mixing bowl, add the hung curd and whisk until smooth.
Add boiled chickpea (chana), chopped cucumber, tomato, onion, and green chili to the curd mixture.
Mix well and add cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt. Stir well to combine.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve chilled.
