Boil enough water in a pan and add the green beans to it. Blanch the beans for 2-3 minutes until they turn bright green and have a tender-crisp texture.
Drain the beans and rinse them with cold water to stop the cooking process. Set aside.
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn translucent.
Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes until the tomatoes turn mushy.
Add the blanched green beans to the pan and mix well. Cover the pan and let it cook for 5-7 minutes over medium heat.
