Instructions
Preparation
Rinse the foxtail millet and soak it in water for 30 minutes.
Cooking Steps
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds.. Sauté for a few seconds until fragrant.
Add chopped onions, garlic,ginger, and green chili. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until the onions turn translucent.
Add chopped tomatoes, bell pepper, carrot, green peas, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well.
Drain the water from the soaked millet and add the millet to the pan. Mix well.
Add water and stir well. Cover the pan with a lid and let it cook over low heat for 15-20 minutes until the millet is cooked and the water is absorbed.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
