Yellow Moong Dal (Raw)
1 small cup (100g)
Chopped Onion
1 small cup (25g)
Chopped Tomato
0.25 cup (50g)
Cumin seeds
1 tsp (5g)
Turmeric powder
0.5 tsp (2.5g)
Sunflower oil
1 tsp (5g)
Common salt

Plain Water

Instructions
Cooking Steps
Rinse the moong dal thoroughly under running water until the water runs clear.
In a pressure cooker, add the moong dal, water, and turmeric powder. Cook for 3-4 whistles or until the dal is cooked and soft.
In a separate pan, heat a little oil and add cumin seeds. When the seeds start to sizzle, add the chopped onion and sauté until the onions become translucent.
Add chopped tomato and cook until the tomato turns soft and mushy.
Add chopped spinach leaves and cook until the leaves wilt and become soft.
Add the cooked dal to the pan and mix well with the spinach mixture. Add salt to taste.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot
