Instructions
Preparation
Wash and soak chana dal for 4-5 hours.
Cooking Steps
Drain the water and grind the chana dal in a mixer grinder to a coarse texture.
In a mixing bowl, add the ground chana dal, grated carrot, mashed green peas, chopped onion, ginger-garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a baking tray with oil.
Divide the mixture into 8-10 equal portions and shape them into tikkis or patties.
Place the tikkis on the greased baking tray and brush them with oil.
Bake the tikkis for 20-25 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
