Ingredients
Onion Finely Chopped
0.5 medium cup (75g)
Turmeric powder
0.25 tsp (1.25g)
Common salt
0.5 tsp (2.5g)
Olive Oil

Chana Dal (Soaked)
1 cup (200g)
Chopped Green Chilli
1 tsp (5g)
Grated Ginger
1 tsp (3g)
Instructions
Cooking Steps
Drain the soaked chana dal and blend it in a mixer grinder until it becomes a smooth batter. Add a little water if required.
Transfer the batter to a mixing bowl and add chopped onions, green chili, grated ginger, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well.
Add fruit salt or eno to the batter and mix well. The batter will become frothy.
Heat an appe pan or aebleskiver pan on medium heat and grease it with oil.
Pour the batter into each cavity of the pan, filling them up to 3/4th of the capacity.
Cover the pan with a lid and let the appes cook for 2-3 minutes on one side.
Flip the appes over using a wooden skewer or fork and cook for another 2-3 minutes on the other side.
Once the appes are golden brown on both sides, remove them from the pan and transfer them to a plate.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
