Instructions
Preparation
Wash the chana dal and soak it in water for 3-4 hours.
Drain the water and grind the chana dal to a coarse paste without adding any water.
Cooking Steps
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chana dal, grated cabbage, finely chopped onion, coriander leaves, green chili, grated ginger, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
Add little water to the mixture to make it moist enough to form tikkis.
Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into tikkis.
Heat a non-stick pan and add oil to it.
Place the tikkis on the pan and cook them on medium heat until they are golden brown on both sides.
Serve hot.
