Soaked Black Chickpeas
1 cup (200g)
Onion Finely Chopped
0.5 small cup (50g)
chopped tomato
0.5 small cup (50g)
Chopped Green Chilli
2 tsp (4g)
Mint Chutney
1 tbsp (15g)
Chat Masala
0.5 tsp (2.5g)

Preparation
NOTE: Soak 100 gms raw kala chana.
Cooking Steps
Drain the soaked kala chana and rinse them with fresh water.
Transfer the kala chana to a pressure cooker and add enough water to cover them. Add 1/2 teaspoon salt and pressure cook for 3-4 whistles or until the chana is cooked and tender.
Once the pressure has released, drain the excess water and set the kala chana aside.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked kala chana, chopped onion, tomato, and green chili.
Add the chopped coriander leaves, tamarind paste, mint chutney, chaat masala, cumin powder, salt, and lemon juice. Mix well.
Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
Serve the kala chana chat in bowls or plates and enjoy!
