Preparation
Preparation of Tomato Puree Homemade:
Wash the tomatoes and cut them into quarters.
In a grinder, add the tomatoes and water.
Grind the tomatoes until you achieve a smooth puree.
Use the puree.
Cooking Steps
In a bowl, marinate the chicken pieces with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well and let it sit for 30 minutes.
Dry roast chicken pieces either in oven or in air fryer (optionally you can cook on a skillet).
Heat butter in a pan over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
Add chopped garlic, grated ginger, and green chilies. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until the raw smell goes away.
Add tomato puree and stir well. Let it cook for 5-7 minutes until the oil separates from the mixture.
Add roasted chicken and mix well. Cover the pan with a lid and let it cook on low flame for 10-12 minutes over medium heat until the chicken is cooked through.
Add low fat yogurt and stir well. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the gravy thickens.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
