Instructions
Preparation
Wash the tinda and cut off the tops. Scoop out the seeds and pulp from the center of the tinda using a small spoon or knife. Set aside.
Cooking Steps
For the filling , heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
Add chopped onions and saute for 2-3 minutes until they turn translucent.
Add chopped tomatoes and cook for 2-3 minutes until they soften and it dries up considerably.
Add coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
Stuff the tinda with the prepared filling and place them in a pan. Add 1/4 cup of water to the pan and cover it with a lid.
Cook the tinda over medium heat for 10-12 minutes or until they are tender and cooked through.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
