Barley
1 tbsp (10g)
Plain Water
1 medium cup (250g)
Instructions
Cooking Steps
Rinse the barley thoroughly in cold water and soak it in enough water for 30 minutes.
In a small pot, add the soaked barley and water.
Bring the water to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to low and let the barley simmer for about 30 minutes, or until it is soft and the water has been absorbed.
Remove the pot from the heat and let the barley cool for a few minutes.
Transfer the barley to a blender or food processor and blend it into a smooth puree or mash it with a fork.
If the puree is too thick, you can add some boiled water to thin it out to a consistency that is suitable for your baby.
Let the porridge cool to room temperature before feeding.
